corona

Those sandwiches are from the tiny restaurant called "Corona" run by an old man in the heart of Kyoto.

I had been wanting to go here since I knew about these sandwiches from a magazine more than 10 years ago. However the reason why it took me so long to get there is that it's on a narrow back street and hard to find, closed on Mon and Tue and open from 5 to 9pm only.

They tasted great and enjoyed the atmosphere and watching the old man cooking. I'll come back again. Gochiso-sama!

Nara

I went to Nara today. It takes 52 min from Kyoto to get there.

Nara is famous as one of the oldest city in Japan, and also deer capitol. They are everywhere around Nara park.

In the picture on the left, you see the sign "deer snack 150yen" and the deer next to the stand waiting for the food.

The picture on the right is the wooden deer holding the written oracle in his mouth. Cute, huh?

hot pot restaurant

Isn't this shop curtain cute!!??

This is the entrance of the restaurant that I went to last night, to eat innards hot pot. gross??

It wasn't that common to eat innards in Japan, however it once became very hot to have innards hot pot "motsu-nabe" about 15 years ago because of the healthiness. Since then some people eat those.

I love them. It has less calorie and cholesterol and more vitamine compared to meat, I believe. There're so many kinds, like large intestine, small intestine, stomach, heart, tongue, liber and so forth. Some is chewy and other is sweet.

Anyways, the food here was good and I fell in love with this curtain.
