it snows a lot this year in Japan. riverside of Kamo riv. covered with snow. beautiful.
you feel very cold in kyoto, which is called "kyo no sokobie" meaning freezing in kyoto from the bottom of the ground. doesn't snow much usually.
Kyoto houses are built for summer, not for winter. in summer breeze goes through a house, nice. but in winter, it's hell. I see my breath in my room when I wake up in the morning.
